In this section you will find discs for disc harrow and disc tilling in a wide variety of concave forms and sizes. Bellota conducts very strict quality checks, guaranteeing that its discs for disc harrow will all be totally uniform, which means that any work you do with them will be excellent. The right hardness ensures the ideal level of flexibility and toughness to absorb impacts without breakage, and yet at the same time to resist the most abrasive soil conditions. All this guarantees that the discs pass the toughness test known as “the ball test,” which assesses their resistance to fracture. Bellota discs for disc harrow were the first discs manufactured out of boron steel, guaranteeing them a perfect balance between hardness and toughness, which means maximum breakage-free service life.
Planters and seed drill
Sowing is the key to making sure that your crop emerges uniformly, which is essential if you want to achieve maximum productivity at harvest time. Bellota has planters discs for seed drills designed for a variety of different applications, such as direct planters and maize seed drills, for example. The success of Bellota planters and seed drills is founded on the fact that they are designed the discs to achieve a well opened furrow. Bellota discs for seed drills and planters, with their mechanically treated edges, geometries optimized for the job you are doing and their boron steel materials, are extremely precise and long lasting, guaranteeing uniform results for your work.
The cultivator is used in multiple functions: pulling weeds, clod crushing, loosening the land´s surface layer, forming a thin layer over the sow bed, preparing the land for irrigation and adding fertilizers. The cultivator is used both before planting (to prepare the land) and afterwards in row cultivations, with the right tines. Bellota cultivator range covers the needs of diverse farm equipment such as cultivator sweeps, cultivator points, chisel, tines for tillage, cultivator, tiller and other agricultural implements.
At Bellota Agrisolutions we build spare parts for the most important brands of agricultural tools, such as Kverneland plough, Kuhn mouldboard plough, Ovlac mouldboards, Castillón plough, as well as Fiskars plough and Vogel & Noot plough, amongst many others. In the area of mouldboard plough we provide mouldboards, agricultural coulters, points, heels, blades and deflectors, as well as reversible and fixed mouldboards. For stubble plough, Bellota offers a wide range of parts adaptable to the equipment of the most important manufacturers right down to the Bellota mini plough solution for chisel cultivators.
The new methods of tilling are aimed at burying only a part of the residual crop on the surface, allowing the rest to provide a protective layer. A well placed forward and lateral inclination of tines fluffs up soil, making it more porous while at the same time keeping the surface intact and improving the circulation of water and oxygenation in the soil, thus favouring root growth and plant development, in the final analysis achieving better yields at harvest time. In contrast to the more old-fashioned subsoilers, this method cuts the soil with less resistance and the soil ends up with a practically flat ground surface fully ready for sowing.
